Bring back the 3908s
This may have been a great boot, if the rubber wrap around wasn't around the ankle. I purchased a new pair of the Bisons and could not finish out my day at work the first day I wore them. They had my ankles hurting so bad i had to unlace them just to walk to my truck. My ankles stayed sore for over a week. I have been buying the 3908s for over 6 years, what were you thinking to discontinue the greatest steeltoe ever made???? Since you discontinued the 3908s and I cant find my size in whats left in the world, I had to resort to a Carolina brand. If you ever bring the 3908s back, let me know and I'll be back to buy them.

Great boots but both split at the front of the soles within a month or so. Water seeps through and hesitant to walk through puddles now. Upsetting for a $200 pair of boots.

Great on the outside, terrible on the inside
These boots look awesome out of the box, they look extremely durable. The break in period on these boots was pretty rough. After that was over they were comfortable and the outside of the boots didn't get beat up or scratched no matter what I threw at them. Then about 3 months into having them the lining and the soles started to tear. 3 months later the insides of the boots are now gone, blown out, shredded. They just don't last. They definitely spent the bulk of the money on the outside of the boots. I would not buy again.

Don't be fooled by others reviews, test yourself.
Overall impressed. I have always been a carhartt person and when I saw these boots at the store I really liked the look of them. I tried them on and they had a decent first fit. They ran tight as expected but I wanted to be able to break them in to my foot due to the fact that I put in nearly 20,000 steps a day where I work. They caused mild discomfort to my foot for a week or two and then finally broke in perfect. The sole has been wearing perfectly for how much I walk and work these boots throughout the week mostly all being in a concrete setting. Overall a tough work boot, very shocked to see such poor reviews. I bought these before I looked at the reviews online and am glad I did because I can say I tested them and proved them myself. If you like the way they look and are going for a nice lace up, give these a shot they are a great choice and will be my next choice when my current pair wears out completely.

Best Pair of Boots I have ever owned
I love these boots for everything working on the farm landscaping construction or digging trenches or logging or just wearing them to school. The only thing that was bad about the was the break in period. The heel guard blistered then back of my heel at first but that's the only thing now just takes a little time to break them in. I love these boots they are very comfortable and durable. The water proofing is excellent too. I grab these boots before anything. they support my ankles which is important to me and they keep my feet from fatiguing. The steel toe has saved my toes many times from being broken. I also used them will I went to welding class for a week they were great there too sparks were no issue neither was the heat and they were comfortable all day. They are too hot in the summer and aren't too cold in the winter. I'm on my feet all day and these boots never fail me. Whenever the current pair I have wear out I will definitely buy another pair.

Most uncomfortable boot I've ever purchased
I have been in the industrial/manufacturing profession for 30 years and have never written a review in that 30 years until now. These boots with the "ankle production" are by far the most uncomfortable boots I have ever purchased. I have had them now for over two months and I kept thinking, "they'll wear in", but they have'not! My ankles are killing me on a daily basis. BAD Boot!

Both soles spit across the bottom.
I work on concrete all day, and need a comfortable pair of boots. About four months ago, my wife surprised me with these, and they felt great. Yesterday, I noticed that both soles had split across the bottom. For the money she paid, I wish they would have lasted longer.

Excellent boot
I purchased these boots to test them out as a potential replacement for my current boots, so far I have put about a week of use into these boots. I've worked around the house bucking up logs and splitting firewood. They are great. The only downside is I can see them having some fatigue problems on hard surfaces. They tend to press ever so slightly on my little toe but not so much as to cause problems. i will do a review update once they have some miles on them.

Awesome boot
I almost didn't buy these boots because of the bad reviews... Im glad I did. These boots are extremely comfortable (there's even foam under the insole) and the heel support does just that (locks your heel in place). And I'm sorry but if your in the trades and a boot can go a whole year... that's pretty good. I've been a Carolina and Red Wing man for some time now and these are a good trade off. Wish "Vibram" would have done the sole but il live. See y'all on top of the chimney!

Awesome boots
In the first two weeks I had them I was laying pavers and the leather on the toe got scraped off. that was my fault. i thought I was going to have to replace them. Now, other than looking a little ugly with the steel from the toe showing through they remained waterproof and extremely durable. The leather from the rip stayed ripped right where it was. I've had them for two years now. Finally the rubber on the sole wore out. Going to get another pair.

Too many problems to be worth the hassle.
I have burned through two pairs of these boots in the last 12 months. The first pair has some splitting of the sole that was covered under warranty and replaced by Farm and Fleet within about 5 months. The second pair didn't incur the same problem, but this pair has had the internal lining and the gore-tex worn through on both boots. Needless to say this is creating discomfort, and without being waterproof, these boots no longer work for me. I really like the fit and feel of these boots, once they are worn in, but they simply don't seem to be able to last. Doubt I will be coming back to this style again.

Disappointed in product durability
Purchased these boots about a year ago. Yep. a year warranty is about right because now the soles on both boots have split. they were a very comfortable boot but can't afford to be buying a new pair every year.

The best boots I have ever owned.
I Purchased my boots nearly 4 years ago and I would purchase them again in a second. I have worked mainly in heavy industrial settings and also outside on runways in every weather condition and my jobs have often had me walking four to ten miles per day. I use them when I've gone hiking, and I have used them on my bike when I go riding. They have saved me from ankle injuries with their sturdy heel guards and the material above the toe hasn't completely faded or worn away as I've seen countless coworkers boots do to show the metal underneath. They have been perfect for me for everything I've needed them for and I would wholeheartedly reccomend them. Sadly the days on these are numbered as the heel has started to show some separation from the sole. But a 4 year run with no special attention given to upkeep is fine with me.

P.S.- the laces lasted for 2 years before fraying. Pretty good considering since replacing them with store bought ones ive gone through three in the latter 2 years.

Boots fell apart from design flaw
I bought the composite toe version of these boots 1.5 years ago within 6 months the heel guard stiching came out and the rubber started to crack the overall boot was comfortable to wear but it just didn't hold up the heel on one of my boots just ripped out today and I have had cheaper boots last longer. I work on concrete in a hospital as maintenance everyday and I don't do anything that should have caused that much damage. The design is flawed I still like carrharrt boots but I won't buy another pair of these model. I hope the new models that they came out wolith hold up better. I don't really want to switch brands

Boots stitching coming out after 3 months.
Purchased this pair of boots from Rural King for work. So far its been three months and all the stitching that holds the heel guards on both boots has all but pulled away from the leather. My company give us no money towards steel toe boots that are required for our work environment. So in short I will have to toss these boots in the trash and take the $150 hit to my pocket and spend at least another $150 on a new pair of boots. Very disappointing.

Comfortable but not durable
I bought these boots to work in daily. They are comfortable and fit well but after 13 months the side split in them. Also the rubber soles of them started cracking in half after only 6 months. I understand they can't last forever but for the price I did expect them to last longer.
