Excellent Pants At An Excellent Price
Just received these pants in dark khaki and they were exactly what I was looking for. The actual color is a tad darker than the photos, which I was to my preference anyway. I marked them as running a little small simply because they are advertised as relaxed fit and I would call them more of an athletic fit. For a more relaxed fit, I would recommend ordering a waist size up, but the look and fit is great true to size. They are made of a very soft twill that feels similar to corduroy, and are very comfortable for wear. Durable Carhartt construction gives me the sense that these pants will last me a long time, and I will definitely order another pair in brown.

great pants, wish made in more colors
Have just purchased these pants.... wear them to work and to go out with friends... durable and very soft material makes them very comfortable.....if i would change one thing about this pants, it is to add additional colors. If they at least added a Black and Navy Blue.

Great looking and hard working pants
I have 5 pairs of these now which I wear almost daily for work. The first three I purchased 2 1/2 years ago and they are far from wearing out. I'm 6'1", about 180 lbs and the 32x34 fit perfectly. These pants are perfect for an office-to-field environment. They dress up very nice with a button down or polo, but you can quickly throw on a pair of boots and start tramping through the woods. While being tough they are still really soft like a regular khaki, not stiff like some of the other Duck options. I actually prefer these over those pants on colder days. My only disappointment is that these pants like many of the Carhartt pants do not come in any other color options other than brown and khaki. Some navy blue and gray options would be great. All the brown and earth tone options do get a little boring after a while.

Awesome pants! More color choices, please!
I have worn these for years. The phone pocket was the main reason I bought these, and I love the placement of it. I have my phone handy, but it doesn't get in my way and I don't have to sit on it. I also like the metal jeans-type button on the waist- so many of the regular buttons end up falling off, but they are tough. The pants look dressed up enough for an office job, but they are tough and last a long time. My only problem with them is I want more color choices. They need to make them in green, grey, navy or some of the other colors they have in their other pants.

These pants are perfect...
For my body shape and lifestyle, the rugged work khaki pants are perfect. They are a touch more upscale than blue jeans but still casual... and so comfortable. The durability is exceptionally high; and so is the value (in terms of dollars spent for what one receives).

Home Inspector Gives a Thumbs Up!
Iâ??m a home inspector. These pants are rugged enough for crawling through an attic, yet look good enough that I can wear them out to dinner. They fit well and are comfortable to wear. I just bought six pairs and the last bunch that I bought lasted for 2 years of daily wear. They never frayed or wore through, but they did fadeâ??I didnâ??t notice it until I got my new ones.

awesome pants
I have always bought these for my two sons and husband. please do not quit making them. Would love a smoked grey color added to the line........ my boys do not wear anything but these pants! They are great for everyday wear and to dress up in! Please do not change anything about them!

These are one of the best pairs of pants I have ever owned.
These are one of the best pairs of pants I have ever owned. They fit well, look great, and are very well made. I really like the cell phone pocket.
The only complaint I have is that along the inside of the waistband in the back, the stitching is very heavy and really cuts into my lower back after a while. I'm hoping this goes away after they are broken in.
One suggestion, as other reviewers have already mentioned, please make these in more colors!

Best Work Khaki ever!
I had been searching for work khakis for a while. In my job as a Home Inspector I like the look of khakis over work pants. However, the other khakis on the market are not made for maneuverability, ruggedness, etc. I've worn holes in, stained, torn, and even split the crotch of more standard khakis during an inspections! Carhartt answered my call with these rugged work khakis. They feel soft/not stiff, durable, quality, and comfortable. They are the perfect cut between having room and being slim for my preference. I bought 6 pair so I can wear them all week before washing. They do run long. I wear a 34" inseam but the 32" inseam fits more like a 34". Waist size however does fit as expected. The discrete phone pocket is also very handy. No other khaki I've found can compete. I highly recommend these for folks who would like the more professional look of khakis but still need a rugged pant or need to move around. Priced very affordably for what I consider a high value pant. Thank you Carhartt!

Great pants
I am in sales for the HVAC industry and I often go through pants quickly because standard kakihs wear out quickly. And dress pants are over kill in my industry. I tried the 5 pocket kakih from Carhart and I couldn't be happier. I would like a few more color options is my only complaint.

Best crossover work pants out there
Love these pants. I can go from a Client meeting to the job site without skipping a beat. They are durable and tough enough to hold up well while being worked hard and yet still look professional. I wear these every work day and buy them two pairs at a time. With two pairs I can wash them each a few times a week and always have a clean pair. With hard use they still last 6+ months before they start fading and fraying. When I hit that point I downgrade them to just hard work only or casual use. If you are not a fan of the current "tight pant" trend and prefer having some room to move without having baggy pants then you will love these. Just enough room without being too baggy.

Good pants but be ready for crotch blowouts
I've owned two pairs of these pants and they both last about 5 months. They're comfortable and definitely appear durable. The material is stiff and I never got damage from being on my knees or anything else.
The major issue is the tightness of the thighs in these pants. If the material was a little more flexible, then the thighs wouldn't be so tight. The tightness in the thighs will lead to rubbing in the crotch area and then the material will wear through. Eventually the crotch blows out. If Carhartt can improve the stretch of the product or increase the thigh room, then this problem should stop. I loved these pants, it was a shame they blew out twice.

Like pants alot. I bought pants in local store. However when I decided to get another pair, the store quit buying that particular style. Therefore I went online to Carhartt and bought them. My only complaint is that they are not offered in more colors, blk., and dark blue would be nice.

Almost perfect
Very comfortable. Only problem is the phone pocket on the leg has no Velcro closure. Consequently your phone falls on the floor when using the restroom. It’s a minor thing, but could be easily fixed in the design!

Better than work pants
These are really nice pants. I bought them for my son to wear around campus, as it gets pretty cold. There are a very nice looking pair of pants. He likes them and is looking forward to wearing them when school resumes. They are nicer than any work pant I have ever seen. He has not had the opportunity to wear them at school, since he is on break, but they seem more like a nice casual pair of pants to me.

The best pants I wear daily.
I love these pants. They are thick, warm, rugged, have a great cell phone pocket. They look great. I wear them now almost exclusively instead of jeans or khaki Docker style pants.
Listen up Carhartt: Make them in other colors: olive, black, gray, navy blue. I am sure you would sell so many.

Great looking work pants.
Sometimes I need a casual work uniform and these pants are perfect. They go well with a Carhartt chambray shirt. I wear them spring and summer. Wouldn't buy anything else. Same is true for my Carhartt heavy duty and cold weather uniforms . Great quality across the board.

Best pants ever,
Rarely do I give anything 5 stars, however these pants are amazing. Truly a do everything pant, construction work and casual khaki. I’ve had other brands, but these have been more dependable. Very comfortable durable as I’ve had my first pair over 3 years and no issues. Now they are definitely better for cooler weather and they do need several wears to stretch them. The only thing I want is more colors, please!!! Navy, grey, olive, more colors!

Just received these as replacements for a similar pair I have had for years. These fit great - they run smaller than the Rigby Dungaree that I bought at the same time (both relaxed fit 33/32). I weigh about 170 and 6 ft. Both fit, but felt like a significant difference in fit.

I've been wearing the rugged khakis for over 10 years. they are the most comfortable, and toughest pants I've ever had. they usually last me a good 4 or 5 years and I'm pretty hard on clothes. just ordered the dark khaki and dark coffee because my local store hardly ever stock those colors (or maybe they just sell out fast). Only negative things I can say is they are not offered in odd waist sizes, (35) so ended up purchasing 36, by the end of the day they’re falling off of me. If I was part of the younger generation that would be ok, I’m not. I recommend making more color choices 3 is not enough

Nice, but quality control is lacking
I used to love these pants. They are durable, comfortable and well made, BUT the sizing of these I've ordered recently are very inconsistent and the older pants of this model did not shrink. The latest pair I ordered they shrank 1.5 inches in length. These are not what they used to be.

Comfortable, true to size pants. They are not stiff like the traditional duck canvas pants can be out of the box. They have a slight bit of stretch in them which is great. I plan to get a few more pairs.

Love these pants
I ordered 2 pair of these and rotate them with 2 pair of the Ripstops. I wear those 4 pairs 5 days a week as a teacher and on the farm when I get home. Looks good enough and professional in the classroom, and tough enough to withstand farm work. These are my go to pants from now on.

The perfect pants for casual or outdoor wear
Have had three pairs of these pants for two years. After hundreds of wearings and washings, with exception of a little fading, they still look great. The cell phone pocket alone makes these a must have. Like others have stated though, please make in black, navy and grey. They'd sell!

Great pants
I have several pairs, going from management meetings to the field. I receive compliments in both places.
Please add other colors. Your gray and green would be great additions to these pants.

Awesome and comfortable

This is one of the best fitting pants I have ever worn
I am a short structured man at 5'5'' and these pants fit me perfectly. I have struggled to find other brand dress pants for years with a good relaxed fell in the seat and crotch areas where dress pants like Dockers are lacking in room.

Inseam Length
I wear 38x36" Carhartt jeans and pants. I ordered the same size Rugged Work Khaki Pants (2 pairs) and they were much, much too long. The pant legs ran almost to the end of my foot--at leat 6" longer than similar Carhartt pants. Sending them back for a refund.
However, the pants looked good were well constructed. Besides the length, the pants were smaller than Carhartt's B299 (Relaxed Fit Khaki Pant) and B17 (Relaxed Fit Tapered Leg Jean).
Recommend trying them on in a store before buying online.

Just as I expected
Great pants. I bought them as an alternative to jeans. They are very comfortable and well made. Only complaint I have is that they run small. If you are an average working man with a working man build, buy a size bigger than you normally wear. Great product overall, though.
