Great For Filming Outdoors!
I bought these gloves to control my touchscreen camera. I am usually shooting outdoors and while I am bundled up all other ways, my hands get quite cold. These are exactly what I needed and they actually look a bit like dress gloves, can be worn with a nicer outfit.

Note size; material and your intended use
First impressions here. I live in north Texas, where we have relatively mild winters. I would consider these light gloves for moderately cold days in our climate. Note the Carhartt description: soft, wind-resistant fleece. This is true. They are simply a fabric glove, one that I would call more of a durable knit fabric, similar in appearance to the outside finish of a sweatshirt (but tougher), but without the fuzzy fleece inner surface of the sweats.
One reviewer referred to these as work gloves. I would not. I cannot imagine these holding up to any actual oudoor work, such as gardening or firewood handling. I bought them to wear "in town" with dressier coats. I don't consider these to fit in the classic Carhartt "farm chore" category at all.
I have long fingers, relatively slender for a 250 pound guy. My hand measures 9 inches, precisely a large on the size charts. I recently ordered gloves from another well-known retailer and couldn't even force my hand inside; reviewers there almost universally complained about small sizing. I consulted with Carhartt before ordering their gloves and was recommended to try XL and 2XL. These gloves in XL were wearable, but just a little small and short in the cuff for me. The 2XL is the best fit for my "large" hand. Considering my experience with both companies' sizing, I'd recommend you err on the large side unless you like a tight glove. Call or chat with Carhartt before ordering...coat sizing is on the money, but something's odd with gloves.
