almost perfect
I've had these for about a year, and I mostly really love them. They're great for cool, rainy days around the farm when I don't want to get chilled wearing absorbent denim . They're durable and I usually go a few wears without washing, even after I've been with the goats. I don't love them on hot days, but that's what lightweight pants are for anyway. They're also very flattering, and I LOVE all the pockets.

My only complaint is that they begin falling down after a few hours of wear, and I spend all day hiking them up. It's worse if I'm sweating, or if I have a knife or clippers in the pockets. I've been fantasizing about adding a drawstring to the waist, and I finally did it, and now I have no complaints. If Carhartt added a drawstring, elastic, or belt loops, they'd be perfect.

I'm 5'7", 120 lbs, and I wear an XS (they're a little highwater on me, but I like my pants that way.)

Great product - just not for the job-site
I was so excited to see a black fitted work pant that I immediately ordered two pairs. I am 5'8" 110lbs and ordered XS. The material feels strong and durable with just enough stretch. The fit is pretty much like a jegging. I love almost everything about these but unfortunately, I can't imagine wearing this on a real job-site amongst dozens of male construction workers. This is really no fault of carhartt's, I just can't imagine walking onto a site where I already experience a steady stream of "honey's," "sweetheart's," and sleazy innuendos - in skin-tight pants. Please, pleeeaaase bring in more fitted workpants in black. P.S. Hi Vis for women!

So very comfortable and versatile
These pants are the most versatile pants I own. The perfect example was the day that I spent the morning brewing beer in the garage and doing fall clean up outside with the kids (gardening, raking, leaf-pile jumping) and then had to make a quick turn around to go out to a movie with a friend. These pants took me through it all- and looked great! They clean easily- every pocket fits my phone and they don't get bigger as you wear them.

If you are debating between two sizes- I would say get the smaller. There is a ton of stretch in the fabric and the wasteband is very smoothing.

I'm 5'7", 140 and typically wear a 4-6 I bought the M and they are great, but when I buy another pair I'll get the small.

Fabric runs like nylons
I really wanted to love these--they're comfortable and you can't beat the pockets, esp. for work--but after only a few days of wear the fabric along the crotch/butt seams started to run like nylons. I'm not happy I spent so much on a pair of leggings that fell apart faster than any other garment I've ever owned!

Hard working
I originally ordered a small but found them too tight. The medium was perfect. I am 5'7" 140 slim built. My worry was tugging them up every minute or so. The first day I wore them I was in an attic all day installing ductwork and NOT ONE TUG!!! I was crawling, bending , twisting, moving up and down the ladder, in and out of service vehicle. These leggings held up ( literally), even with pockets full of tools! It's refreshing to have an alternative to wearing jeans all the time. Love my leggings and recommend them to all you hard working gals out there!

ALMOST PERFECT
I bought a pair at carhartt.com even after reading the reviews about constantly rolling down from the waist. Thought my bubble butt would solve that issue but sure enough, they rolled down constantly, from the crotch, too. Simple fix though: I snipped two tiny holes about an inch from the front seam in the waistband and ran a drawstring from a pair old shorts straight through the entire wide waistband, knotting the ends so they wouldn't escape back inside. Problem completely solved and no more rolling down. Just make that waistband cinch up on future editions Carhartt! The fit, look, and comfort are too good to return for this pig farmer. I can slip right inside my quilted bibs, too. Def will get more, maybe in other colors, Carharrtt?

Carharrt must finally be listening to us women because these pants are awesome!!
Carharrt is stepping up their game finally!!! I never write reviews honestly who has the time but I needed to say how amazing these pants are!! I'm a dairy farmer I put these things through the wringer at work.im also a with thick thighs and a big but and these are perfect!! They don't snag on throrns or jagged fence, they are flexible and comfortable I have 2 pairs now a medium and a large so I can throw another pair of thermals underneath in the cold ( a wooly thick pair would be amazing hint hint carhartt) the pants are some combination of polyester and Spandex and are rather thick so if you get very hot in the summer I recommend a pair of shorts (carharrt smithvile are my go to now) instead but these are a three season pant. They have pockets for days every thing gets put in there notebooks knife wallet phone pens markers snacks and tools. One thing that I noticed is they are not as heat resistant as your canvas pants a small patch of my pants melted when working right next to the engine of the milk house pump there is a small hole now. But what can you expect from synthetic material nothings perfect. When it comes down to it I could wear them just about everyday.

Best Decision EVER
Holy cow these are the best pants I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and wearing!! I work in event production and I needed pants that were flexible and breathable like leggings but had the durability and pockets of jeans - these pants are the best of both worlds. They are much thicker than I had anticipated but it doesn't really present a problem. The only reason I am giving them 4 stars is because they need to come in petite!!! I'm 5'0" 200lbs so I got the XL and they fit my waist and thighs, but they are sooo long. I cuff them to be above my ankles which is fine, but the extra fabric patch for knees is on my lower shins. Not a fashion dealbreaker, but would definitely be nice to have pants that fit me correctly. But I love them overall, and super excited that they got more colors - on my way to purchase right now.

Yes. Get them. Don't hesitate.
I wish everyone in the world could have these pants. Bought them in black this winter. Wore them almost every day. Thrilled to see more colors and ordered them in olive. Need tall but didn't want to wait! Pluses: pockets! Plenty of places to stash phones and pagers (excellent as a first responder). Snag proof- I rescue squirrels and the pants have survived wire mesh I use to build cages. Comfort- stay put- none of that annoying stopping to pull up your pants. Some reviews say they fall down- you just need a smaller size, like with Jag pull on jeans, they almost need to feel too small. For reference, I'm 5'5" 120#, waist 28 at belly button, hips 37 and a small is working out fine.

Love this style but runs a little large
I was SUPER excited when I found out about these pants. I love comfy clothes especially yoga pants. But working on a farm wears out all my clothes so fast. These are the perfect junction of comfort and durability. I am 5'7" & 140lbs. and usually go with a size Small or Medium in pants but I found the size Small to be a little big and bulky in the waistband and crotch area. May return for size Xsmall when back in stock.

Could Be Better
The look of these pants are nice and it is great to have the thicker material on a legging. But there is not much stretch to them so getting them on can be interesting. Also, they fall down during the day so I am consistently pulling them back up.

Love these Leggings!!!
These leggings are the greatest. I have worn them to do chores including fixing fence and the pockets are perfect. There are big front and back pockets that hold my cell phone with ease, and side tool pockets that you don't expect from leggings. The material is so comfortable and I think slimming. In addition, even though they are a dark color they don't pick up pet hair and I would know since I have two black and white border collies. I am buying another pair!

These fit a niche in my wardrobe. ????
I am very excited about these leggings and have already worn them all weekend since I got them on Friday. I can see them being wonderful for jogging, gardening, raking, cross country skiing and hiking. However my only gripe is that they do not come in petite sizes. I am 5’3”, 120lbs and wear size small but I I have to roll them up on the bottom and can tell that they don’t fit on me the way they do on the model in the photo- the knee reinforcements start mid-shin and end just above the knee for me.
Please Carhartt, make a petite series! Thank you!

Wore them every day
I discovered these leggings last winter and literally wore them every day. I was so excited when the olive color was released, and now I'll get a third pair with the tarmac.

I love the look and they're super comfortable. My only complaints:
- They do stretch after lots of wear (I'm 5'4", 145#, wear a M)
- The olive pair have a thinner elastic waistband inside the top than my black ones have. Not as comfortable.

YOU NEED THESE IN YOUR LIFE IF YOU DO WAREHOUSE/CONSTRUCTION WORK
I absolutely love these leggings. I have had these for over a month and wear them daily mon-fri! They have held up and surpassed my expectations! I slid across a very sharp piece of medal that cut my hand, but only left a mark on my pants that you can barely see! They are warm and not too tight on my mid section, which was my original reason for purchase! I hate how utility jeans fit for a women to tight in the waste not tight enough in the crotch so you look like you're carrying a load! I can not rave enough about these. The only complaint i have is that my size now seems to always be out of stock!

Great for an athletic, curvy figure
I absolutely love these leggings - you often get what you pay for and this was a quality piece.
They aren't sheer like regular leggings, and they fit if you have more of a figure - something I often struggle to find.
I typically am between a m and a L and went with a medium.

The only thing I have to say is - make them in more colors!!

Weak material where it matters
I bought these through Amazon about a month ago, and I really loved them at first.
Due to hot weather, I have only been able to wear them a few times. I bought two pairs and both are starting to deteriorate after only 3 washes.
The crotch is getting little holes from front to back, and the fabric on the butt is starting to run just like a pair of nylons would. I really wish they were more durable in this regard. Especially since now, my $100 purchase is virtually useless to me after only a few wears.
As far as sizing goes, carhart says my truefit was a large, but the larges were too big, so I exchanged them for a medium, which fit perfectly.

Size Down!
These leggings are awesome and I wear them all the time. Problem is that they continuously fall down even with me sizing down. the elastic on the top just does not hold them up. I am currently having a tailor add belt loops so that I can wear them with a belt loop and not have them constantly falling down.

Comfortable, seems durable, works well for guys too.
I'm always open to try out something new and as a runner I spend plenty of time in running tights so why not try these? I did and I love them just as much as my normal men's Carhartt pants. Different feel and look yes, but they are really comfortable.
I'm 6'4", about 185 and the L/Tall fits perfectly and they work great.
I don't expect many guys to consider this item but I'd certainly buy another pair in the future. I can even see them being great for cross country skiing.

Shin guards, not double knees
I love these pants, BUT like many clothing companies Carhartt seems to think that L and XL women are 7 feet tall. I'm 5'7" and the double knees only cover my shins. I keep having to tug at them to get the double knee in the right spot.

Miraculous
I never write reviews, but the world needs to know about these pants and it’s my duty to help spread the word. They are absolutely perfect. I work in architectural salvage and need agility and knee reinforcement. Nailed it. We spend many hours in our unheated, uninsulated warehouse; these pants, warmer than jeans, easily accommodates a base layer. These pants withstand pokes and snags from nails and rusty corners. I spent 2 days removing thorny black berry brambles wearing these pants. Never felt a thing and they still look new. Dirt and dust essentially wipes off. The comfort level is off the charts. I'm usually a medium but followed other reviewers’ advice and got the small. Good call. Felt tight in the waist at first but they quickly broke in. I got the talls but that might not have been necessary. I'm 5’6” and 135. Even though these are form fitting, the deep front and back pockets fit everything. I often have my cell phone, cordless phone, and tape measure in them at once. I get compliments ALL THE TIME. The first week three very stylish women, a designer/gardener, an artist/landscaper, and a stained glass/ice sculpture artist, enthusiastically asked me about them and all three said they were going to order them. Get. These. Pants. Tell everyone.

Within a month the back seam was starting to pull apart . The pants fit great and were surprisingly loose, so that was surprising. Disappointed that I invested this much into plants that turned out to be flimsy

Love hate
I have a love hate for these. I ordered my first pair and loved the fit and fabric. I then ordered two more in the same size and one is small and the other is too large. Even though, I still wear them. The worst part is the seams. I have started hiking a lot more for my work and the seams have started to chaff my groin area and all the way down my legs where they run. Not too sure what to do about this...

I’m too short
These leggings are awesome! BUT, I had to return the two pairs I purchased due to the inseam being too long. I am pretty short at 4,11”, and can usually get away with a ‘short’ inseam on most pants, but since it’s not offered I just went with the regular inseam. I almost kept them and though to have them tailored but then the reinforced knees would still be at my shins and not serve their proper purpose, and also look a little funny. I hope to see these in a shorter inseam sometime soon so I can purchase multiple pairs!

Absolutely Amazing!
I love these! I do technical theatre, and I find that they're flexible enough to for me to get myself into tight/strange/awkward places and they don't fall down (I think this may have something to do with the fact that I have large hips, these are not meant for people with narrow hips, I'm 5'9" @180-a large fits perfect). They haven't worn unevenly or strangely, and it's nice to have actual pockets.

My new go to pants for around the farm!
These pants exceeded my expectations all around. The material is thick enough to stop the chilly wind here in Maine. It is also durable, many times when jeans or normal leggings would have ripped, these did not. Pockets are plentiful and actually useful, a very rare find in womens pants let alone a legging! My big iphone, clippers, and other small tools actually fit and stay put. The fit and comfort is also great. The high elastic waste holds the pants in place very well, no adjusting them or pulling them up needed. These quickly became by go to pant around the farm and will probably also be my new hiking pant.

Multi-Use leggings!
I was pleasantly surprised by these pants when I tried them on. I don't usually wear leggings for everyday wear. Sure, I'll wear them around the house or to work out, but not usually to run errands or do any work. These pants are super comfortable, like leggings, but they feel completely different.

The fabric is thick, so it feels more like you are wearing "real" pants. For anyone who is an equestrian, these feel similar to wearing a nice pair of winter weight breeches or tights.

There are pockets! I hate carrying a purse, so it is essential that whatever I wear has pockets for my phone, keys, etc.

They are comfortable enough to hike or ride in, but still durable enough for chores where abrasion isn't a factor. They look cute with tall boots and a sweater as well.

While I wouldn't (and haven't) worn these pants to work because of the nature of my job, the combination of stretch and durability would make them great work pants for a woman who works in a job that might require a lot of moving around, bending, or kneeling like a nursery worker, veterinary technician, etc.

I've worn mine to the barn(including riding in them), hiking, doing chores around the house, and out running errands around town.

Needs belt loops. Please!
I want to like these so badly. I bought them in-store because I wanted leggings that would be able to hold up to my manual labor job, not chafe to pieces between my thighs, and have pockets for storing my work items, and last but not least, STAY UP. The single biggest design flaw about these is that there are no belt loops. They refuse to stay up and I’ve owned them for a couple weeks and they fall more and more often the more I wear them. If I’m not supposed to put things in the pockets in order to keep them up, then they’re not utility pants. I’ve been settling for wearing pants I have that have holes in the thighs because they have pockets and also belt loops so at least I can bend over in them and lift things without worry. They don’t chafe, they hold items, they’re cute, they stand up to labor and running, but they don’t stay up. If these had belt loops they’d be a 5-star product. I’m probably going to retire them before anything’s even structurally or physically wrong with them because constantly hiking my pants up is an embarrassing hassle.

I ordered an XS and they are a little tight when I sit down but I love them. I didn't want them to be too big so I went with the XS - happy i did.

Wow!. I don't wear leggings. No. no no. Ummmm. These have pockets. Lots of pockets. They are wonderful! The side cargo pocket is my favorite. They're a really heavy material and the knees are double layer. Back pockets and front pockets and they work really well with a pair of tall boots for school, social functions, health care as well as farm work. Ladies, I am always needing something to look my best no matter where I go- and these nail it! No more wondering where to stash the pliers (side pocket!), my knife, keys, (front pockets!) ribbon, twine, gloves, letters, or phone (back pockets!)
Only thing that took some getting used to was they're not boot cut like all my jeans are - but that's what I have rubber boots, tall boots and tennis shoes for!

Not true to size
I am 5'11" tall and 130lbs. I purchased these leggings in a TALL (even though I knew they would still be a little short on me) and in the size recommended to me through TrueFit which was a Small (4/6) which I typically wear a size 6 in pants. Upon first appearance, I really liked the leggings! They are heavy duty, have loads of pockets, and look like they would be very comfortable. However, the leggings do not have very much stretch to them like normal leggings. When I went to put them on, I could barely get them over my thighs. I am a very slender person and I don't think anyone at my height could've fit into them. I have returned them and wanted to buy a large, since they were that tight, but Carhartt has been sold out of the large talls for a while now. I'm hoping they get them back in stock soon because I would really like to reorder in a size that fits!

Great Concept, Execution Need A LOT of Work
I've owned these leggings for nearly 6 months now. I bought them at a local store, and was so excited when I found them! The concept is amazing and as an outdoorsy, gardening, hobby-farmin' woman that basically lives in leggings and yoga pants... These were my dream pants. The pockets are perfection, especially the lower pocket on the side of the leg. The fabric is super functional and is definitely breathable and comfortable to wear. I've received many compliments on these pants and people wanting to know where they can get a pair. This is where the positive part of my review ends though... Speaking of the fabric, despite it's positives, it doesn't hold it's shape. The "stretchy work legging" concept is amazing and so needed in women's work attire, but these pants lose their shape within minutes of putting them on. They are constantly falling down, which means that I spend an obscene amount of time hiking my pants up throughout the day. Belt loops might help, and I'm going to add some to try to salvage this purchase, but the elastic at the top gets so loose that I have gaps I can fit both my fists into (when I tried these on in the store they were snug like they are supposed to be). So while a belt will probably work to hold the pants up, it'll also just create bunch of gathered fabric. It's very very frustrating.
Also, I find it incredibly "behind the times" and annoying that clothing companies continually size technical women's clothing that is supposed to be functional in the "S, M, L, XL" sizes. Infant and toddler clothing is sized more specifically, and yet, they want to make clothing for the most curvy, dynamically shaped humans on the planet in general size ranges. I've got a booty and hips. I tried to size down in these but I couldn't even get the next size down over my thighs. I mean... come on, Carhartt. And one last thing regarding fit... I'm 5'6", so about average. I bought my pair in the regular sizes (not "Tall") and the waist band come up over my belly button. These are not "low rise" as described. I would have loved to own multiple pairs of these pants. I'd live in them if they actually fit well. I hope that the number of other reviews also commenting on this issue inspire a version 2.0 of these pants. I won't be buying more until improvements in sizing and fit are made.

Somewhat disappointed
Would have given a higher rating, but why mislead people? Has anyone ever seen a green Tarmac? These pants appear gray on the website and weren't available at a store near me so I ordered them. My fiancee will still wear them but they won't go with as much as gray would have. If we could just call a color what it is that would be great!

Great pants!
I found mine at a local store. I work around horses and this is the closest pant to the breeches. It may be a tad long, but heck, I'm short! My tall boots go over them very easily. The extra pockets are great. I was able to try them on so I would be sure I had the right size. If more stores would carry these, horse people would run to get them! Now I'll order the other color. It would be nice if there was a navy blue as well as gray colors

Comfy pant, not durable.
I purchased these and wore 1 day, I teach so nothing too difficult. They have holes in the seam of the butt and did not hold up. I exchanged for another pair and these have done it too.

From a petite woman's perspective.
These pants are durable and snag resistant, making them great for hiking (thorns) or barn work. Nice, thicker quality material. They are my go-to pants b/c I don't want to wear thin leggings in public, but jeans are too uncomfortable. My only complaint is that they fall down on me. For reference I'm 5'2" 104 lbs with a 24" waist. If they had an internal drawstring, they'd be perfect. Or if they made an xxs. Sizing down would fix my problem, but I wear the xs, so that's not an option. I love them so much I wear them a ton despite having to pull them up periodically. I've had them for about 1 year, and they still look brand new after I wash all the dirt/mud off them. ;)

Incredible leggings
POCKETS! The glorious, amazing pockets... These are the only bottoms I own that have actual, usable pockets - the pockets in womens' jeans are usually absurdly small and useless, but not on these great leggings. I get compliments on these all of the time, I love the reinforcements around the knees. A fantastic legging.

BUY THESE IM AN HVAC BABE
These leggings are amazing, they are a great fit, I have worn and washed them about 5 times already and they are holding up great. Have gotten them caught on a few sharp objects but have yet to tear or even make a loose string (whatever you call that) They have pockets which I love, they are thick but not too warm, I get hot very easily. The carhartt logo on the booty pocket is very cute, I love all Carhartt products, I come from a family of Carhartt lovers and will continue to pass down the family loyalty.

Perfect!
All I have to say is , these are perfect!! I am a professional Landscape designer with a busy business in the Detroit metro. I also do maintenance, as well as installations and am outside in the gardens almost daily. These leggings are comfortable, durable and water resistant. I love them. I bought 2 pair and then bought some for my female staff. Second best purchase after the carhart jacket!

The Stuff that Dreams are Made Of.
What is the only thing that leggings have been missing? Pockets! And now Carhartt has them! I work on a farm and wear leggings almost every day. It's nice to find a pair that feel like they will be able to survive more than one season. My only complaint is that they tend to work their way down if I'm constantly bending over--belt loops or a drawstring might help. They are also warmer than regular leggings, so I'm looking forward to testing how well they do as the weather gets cooler.

Unique pants
The pants were unique in fit but awesome. I got a few looks at work in them, but they worked great and to me felt safer not having a ton of loose fabric to get hung on things. The pockets were just right and I could carry my phone in a side pocket. I got tons of compliments from women who couldn't believe Carhartt made these pants. I think I could wear them to a yoga class but wore these when grocery shopping after a long day of surveying at work. I really enjoyed these and am happy to wear them!

Super Comfy!
I got these are wore them right out of the package and loved them! I was 6-9 months pregnant and wore them and they were super comfortable. The waistband held up under my belly, it didn't fold down and I didn't show off my undies while crouching down. I did yard work in these, weeding and mowing grass. I wore them out on the ATV and wore them to work and they stayed in great shape. Every time I washed them I was afraid I would shrink them but nope! Right out of the dryer they fit like day 1! The one thing I don't care for is the panel on the knees, I'm 5'5" and the top seam hits right at the top of my knee-cap and the bottom seam is the middle of my shin. I would like it more if it was higher on the thigh and more centered on my legs.

Flattering but no belt loops
Fits perfect, lots of pockets. I wear it at a papermill during the winter months. Looks awsome on me! Major issue is that there are no belt loops and they fall down like any pair of jeans. I wear a belt anyway and fold over the waist to keep everything in place.

Comfort and stability
I really love these Leggings. I tour as a video Technician and they are so comfy and warm. The Leggings are giving in areas where jeans are not especially when climbing. The only thing I wish they had were belt loops.

tall gals watch out!
I love these utility knit leggings! Unfortunately, I did have to return them though because they are too short for me. :( The waist, hips and thighs all fit perfectly, but the calf was too tight and the hem hit too high (think almost capri style...) So if they created a "tall" size I would wear them all the time! Would be great for boots - as photo shows - but as a tall gal these didn't make the cut for me. Otherwise, they seem awesome!

Perfect for light work & riding!
These pants take the best aspects of very-popular "yoga pants" and make them more realistic for yard and barn work. The pants are trim, flattering, have a broad waist band, and I never find myself having to hitch them up. Fit true to size, I'm 5'9" and the leg openings are a few inches above my ankle bone. Great for yard work, house work, barn work, and jumping in the saddle without a change! Material cleans easily- hay and dust won't cling.

Love them. A bit stiffer than yoga pants but softer than denim. Waist is a bit smaller than I thought it would be. Legs are a bit roomier. If you have stick legs I would suggest sizing down. 5'5 155# and hip-y. Medium fits great

Love the look
I love the way these look! They fit true to size but with having a booty I feel like I am always pulling them up and they have now a tiny hole at the point where the back pocket is sewn to the pant. I have had them for a year so am surprised they all ready have this issue.

Pretty great
I got a pair of these several months back. I wear them probably 4 days a week, between gardening, working in a kitchen and hiking. They’re really helpful with the pockets and double knees and found them to be able to take a lot of abuse. Plus they’re super comfortable. There are a couple things I am a bit disappointed on though, first off the main pockets on the waist are patch pockets and have had trouble with the stretching on those seams blowing out, which is awkward because before you realize it you have the contents of pockets hanging out he front of your pants. The second thing is that the color (black) has seemed to have faded pretty fast. The last thing that I’m not 100% happy with is that even though there’s the elastic waist they still to be hitched up quiet often by the end of the day, I think some belt loops would be cool. You can move really well in these pants but lots of bending and squating, you’re still adjusting your pants a lot.

Amazing work leggings!
I use these to train GSP's and work outside with. I wanted a pant that was comfortable, wasn't bulky or manly looking that provided a tight fit, could fit inside my work boots, stayed and of course look sexy! these pants checked all those boxes including warmth. They are super comfortable the material is extremely durable. I love the reinforced knees and all the pockets! My iPhone X fits in the front and side pockets. I have both colors can't say enough good things about these leggings. They look great paired with my Carhartt fleece and my hunting jacket.

Most Comfortable Work Pant
I bought a pair of these from Bass Pro Shops to wear for work and I love them. I got them in black. Love the 4 pockets and reinforced knees. All the comfort of a legging while being functional and durable. Will be buying more in other colors.

Awesome leggings!
I've only had these for a week or so, but from the two times I've worn them now, I can say they are Very well made, with a thick durable nylon material that really holds you in. All six pockets are actually functional and the knees are reinforced, although the reinforcing seems a tad bit low. Im about 5'6, 140 and can snuggly, yet tolerable fit in a small, therefore Id consider them running a bit large. Overall, I think im going to love these, and so far recommend!!

Perfection
Let me just say that I do not write reviews, pretty much ever. BUT, after several months of wearing these pants, the excitement has not worn off so I decided I'd share my opinion here. First and foremost, I was looking for pants that I could do real farm work in-- i.e. pants that I could bend, stretch, move in comfortably but that could take a beating. Also, big bonus points for not sliding down to reveal my backside constantly. These hit the mark on ALL go those points, and then some. They're form fitting, they move with me easily. The waist band is so comfortable AND I don't have to constantly pull it up as I do with many other pants. The reinforced knees are perfect for hours spent in the dirt, and the tapered legs fit snugly inside my boots. The pockets are plentiful and FUNCTIONAL, not to mention flattering. I get compliments on these pants all of the time, and my only requests would be a wider array of colors (Navy?!) and perhaps a petite inseam (I do often roll up the bottoms).

Once I found the right size, they're PERFECT!
5'7", 140 lbs. I first tried a medium, and they fit ok but were a little baggy. So I returned them for a size Small/Tall, and they are perfect! Not too tight so I can't breathe, but just perfect for a working girl. I love the wide waistband, and the stretchy material. Definitely going to wear these forever.

Both too small and too big
With "Runs Small", "TTS, or "Runs Large" as the only options - FIT info is inaccurate.
I ordered two sizes of these hoping one would fit. Not even close. Medium was ridiculously small. While the next available size, Large was enormous. I could fit two of me in that one.
These would be the perfect work pant for what I do IF they were to make them in ACTUAL sizes, like 4, 6, 8, 10, 12.
I had to return both, and until a better sizing option comes along, I will have to resort to wearing 'Disposable' fashion that I can afford to lose a pair of every 3-6 months due to damage.

I love these!
They are true to description. They wick sweat away so i stay comfortable working in heat and humidity, and dry almost immediately after walking through tall wet grass. They seem tough for barn work, comfortable, look good, and allow me to simply wipe dirt off.

Incredible Purchase
I absolutely love these leggings!! The only thing I would change is to give them belt loops or a drawstring (or both!). So durable for on our farm. Easy to clean, and can easily be worn out and about as pants...lol

More colors please! I have both the black and the olive.
I would absolutely love a Navy blue, Steel gray and Maroon!
I will never buy leggings for everyday wear ever again, these are sooooo worth it!

Carpenter review
The best workpants ive owned, id suggest these for anyone, they are so comfortable. They look great too. I hated always wearing mens clothes at work all the time now i can acctually feel like a woman on the jobsite. There so nice i acctually worry about getting them dirty lol! Hmmmmmm......
I feel like maybe I shouldve gotten a smaller size but scared to order another pair for risk of being too small. I want to love these so bad. Here is why I cannot.
1. The patches and pockets are not the same color black as the rest of the pant.
2. After a few hours of wear they get loose and start to sag in the butt area.
3. They roll down in the back waist with wear.

What I do love.
1. They are super comfy!!!
2. The initial fit is perfect.
3. The front waist band is control top!!!!!!!!!

Love these work pants!
We are renovating our house ourselves and these are my go to pant. Easy to slip on and move with me without being too tight. Durable fabric; I don’t worry about slipping tools in the pockets and the pockets are sooo roomy! I usually wear a 6L and ordered a medium and I like how they fit. A small would have been too tight I think. I only wish they had more colors like a dark grey so I would have a reason to buy another pair!

Increadible pants!
While in the Carhartt store buying a dog bed, I stumbled upon these. OMG Carhartt leggings? Yes! I had assumed all chic Carhartt stuff was functional, yet boxy. To my surprise I found several items that were form fitting yet very functional. And that is just what I need. Tonga truck tough but body hugging to show off all my hard work. I am 5’2 and athletic/petite. (I have a 27 inch waiste - beer gut). I bought the small (there wasn’t an xs in the store) but I would say the xs would fit me better. The small are a tad loose and in a work situation you might need that, but day to day I think I’m going to get the xs and wear them more often. Also, just to test them out, the day after I wore them to work, I went running in them. They did great and never felt like they were sagging. I do have to say though, once you start sweating in them, the mobility goes down slightly. I would definitely describe them as a winter legging. I definitely would buy more if you had other colors! I would also say I would prefer not to have the logo so prominent though.

Perfect for hiking and working outside or on projects.
The only thing they are missing is belt loops, the band is thick enough that support them and it would help as the waist needs to be a little loose to get them over your behind since there is no zipper. The fabric is thicker, I would compare them to riding pants or breeches more than I would leggings.
I would love it if they came in more colors, but I could see while black is ideal because you don't know how the different fabrics on the knee and pockets will fade differently. I wish they came in different lengths as the double fronts on the knees don't sit in just the right spot for someone who is shorter. I feel like they also take just the right foodwear to make them work in an outfit, the carhartt ladies work boots are a good example.

Thank you Carhartt for finally "getting" it!!!
Love these utility leggings. I wear them to do barn work and they are comfortable, stretchy without losing their shape, and tough enough to withstand heavy barn chores. I love the pockets so I can carry my phone with me, along with my pocket knife for cutting baking twine (or whatever), and even for stuffing some horse treats to reward well-behaved (and adorable) equines. I hope you continue to make these, in different colors as well. Maybe also offer an option that has a regular fly and belt loops, although I LOVE the pull-one with the wide waist band. So keep the wide waist band if you add a fly and belt loops please!!!!

Great Pants for Hard Outdoor Work
My wife is a professional gardener. I bought these for her 1 pair for her birthday and she loved them so much that I bought another 2 pair for Christmas in 2016. She thrashes these pants 3-5 days a week. On her knees, in the brush, weeds, dirt, rocks, etc. They hardly show any wear, are extremely comfortable (she says they are a gardeners yoga pants) AND they look GREAT! I highly recommend these pants.

Large waste, tight in legs
I am a 5'7" and 145lbs. Carhartt usually runs large on me, so I ordered the XS, which was so small I couldn't get the leg on. I returned this for a S, which is tight in the legs (especially below the knee) but loose in the waste. Truthfully, the XS was also a bit loose in the waste, but to get the legs on I had to get a S.

I love that Carhartt is producing a pant that you can easily move in. The pants are an awesome durable material (it does not look like you are wearing leggings) and the extra layer over the knee is really great for farm work. However, because these are somewhat loose around the waste, I find myself pulling them up all the time (which is not practical when you are trying to work). I also wish they were a bit longer, as they do not reach my ankle.

My request to carhartt would be to make a looser version of this plant, in the same material, and either take in the waste or include belt loops.

I loved these- then they ripped through the back and crotch after 2 days :(
I was obsessed with these pants until I realized they were starting to rip through the butt and crotch after I had worn them for 2 days. I am so sad, I thought these were the perfect pants!I live on a farm in Canada -- so I paid USD for these. I bought an xs (i usually wear size 2-4) and they fit comfortably, but they cannot handle much squatting and bending I guess. :(

Game Changer!
Holy crap. These pants are too good to be true! I work in production for live concerts and these pants are what I've been dreaming of. They fit and look like leggings but have pockets to store my phone, flashlight, keys and tools -- no more tool belt pulling my pants down!! For reference, I wear a size 6 in Lululemons and a small fits great. A medium would have been to baggy in the hip area. So happy these exist.

BOOTCUT AND MORE COLORS PLEASE!!
I'm a full-time flower farmer -lots of bending and crouching. These pants are a dream come true. Absolutely must use suspenders. Your bum stays totally covered and warm in winter and there is no tugging up.....ever!!! Just put 'em on and forget about it. Begging Carhartt to make more colors like tan for spring/fall weather and bootcut, too, would be fantastic. And maybe even some type of knicker or capri. THANKS SO MUCH CARHARTT!!!!

Consider getting the size smaller

Great leggings
Upon first trying these on, I was a little skeptical because they don't fit like leggings. They're too big for me in the hips and rear. But after the first day pouring concrete in them, I felt a lot better about them.
The fabric is durable, comfortable, and surprisingly warm. I love the double knee and side pockets. I realized that they don't have to fit like leggings because they look like regular work pants.
Besides the XS being not really that small, the only negative thing I have to say is that they don't stay where I want them to. Belt loops would be nice.

Best leggings in the world
5'3" 122lbs, ordered a size small and they fit perfectly, just a tiny bit long in the inseam, but it's manageable. I recommend these leggings to everyone. The double-front material is great for kneeling in the dirt. I've had mine for four months and have washed them regularly and there's no wear or fading.

Cool idea but some issues
I really love the idea of work leggings, but these were a bit problematic. They were a little gappy in the waist and kept sliding down, so I decided to add belt loops (which I think they need to begin with). They are also very short (like 2-3 inches) in the leg for tall people like me. I kept them because the alternative of returning and exchanging and getting another size that possibly didn't fit was not something I wanted to deal with. The idea of these is great and they look super cool but there are a few things that still need work.

Weird fit
All of the reviews are correct. The leggings were probably about one size too big. I returned them because they just didnâ??t fit right. Definitely recommend going to the carhartt store to try on before buying. I can see how someone could love them if super thin with no thighs but just not for me.

Don't stay up
I can't wear these pants unless I use suspenders! Otherwise I have to pull them up every 2 minutes. The stretch and fabric seemed like a good idea, but they just will not stay put. I would not recommend

Amazing
Love these so much. Extremely comfortable, I wear them around the house and to work even though I bought them specifically for work. The pockets and knees are extra durable, which is great. As is the fact that these are real pockets! Deep enough for actually holding things and not having everything fall out when you bend over. And I love how high waisted they are, no fears of my underwear showing off when I'm throwing big boxes in and out of trucks. I do extensive amounts of bending, crouching, lifting, and running at work, and have not once had to stop and adjust these. Nice change of pace to breeze through work without my pants being a nuisance. These do run a liiiitle big, I'm between an 18 and 20 and the XL is perfect on me, they don't dig in at all (whereas a lot of the carhartt regular pants do dig in at my belly quite badly).

Great, comfortable, durable pants!
I was searching for new leggings and wasn't finding the perfect pair until I walked into a Carhartt store in Idaho. I'm the type of gal that doesn't prefer skin tight pants (especially ones that cut into your stomach when you sit down), prefers higher waist leggings, pockets deep enough to hold my phone, and have the ability to wear normal underwear and not have lines show. This pair of pants hit all the marks for me! I can even pull these off as dressy casual!

Proportioning is weird but overall great.
These are the comfiest work pants I have ever owned. Great for my job in heavy construction. My biggest issue is they are proportion weird. I am 5'4" and pants hit me at all the wrong spots. I accepted that the pant might be a bit long on me. The reinforced knee patch starts at the top of my kneecap and ends at the middle of my shin. Not like the model shown. when I pull up the pants legs to get the patch to the right spot, then the pants become ankle length. I normally don't have an issue going with regular length pants rather than petite/short I actually prefer regular length. This is the first brand I have had an issue with. It's like they made these pants for people with super long thighs, but really short shins.

These pants are perfect. They are ridiculously comfortable when I'm hiking in the woods all day as a forestry tech. I prefer these to any other field pants I have. My only dislike is no more talls. I'm 5'10" and the want ends above my ankle not a huge problem I just wear sock over it with work boots or hikers... But I would buy like 5 more pairs if talls came back in both colors. Bottom line get these pants girl... You won't regret it. Cannot say how thankful I am that Carhartt has made a pant without a low rise wasit band!!

I love the material of the leggings. However, the fit is quite uncomfortable. The waistline of the leggings does not have much stretch. I wear a size medium, but my belly isn't entirely flat. The front of the leggings kept rolling underneath my belly, causing me to constantly pull them up.

THESE FIT!!! look fab
As a petit person, (5 ft, 100lbs) I'm always looking for work clothes that fit. Not everyone is 5'5''. So tired of buying clothes in the kids or boys section. I'm up and down on scaffolding all day in all sorts of weather, and usually blow out the knees. I love the thick knees and numerous pockets. Don't need to wear knee pads! AND the knee is in the correct spot; so the ankle length is perfect. Uheard of! The material is thick but not gross. Oh dear, I don't want to get them dirty. My only complaint is that I would love belt loops. Please ADD LOOPS! Thank you for carrying XS and size 2 S. Your other pants ( not leggings) are still big. Oh well.

Great for UTV
I would highly recommend these leggings. I used them this past weekend for UTV riding. I get cold easily and generally have to use a Military wool blanket to keep my legs warm. I I did not have to use a blanket this past weekend. We even got rained on and I was comfortable. The pants stayed dry.

Absolute perfection
I predict these leggings will soon have their own religion. They are super comfortable. They are actually high enough to cover my ample behind. The pockets! So many pockets! They look nice enough to wear around town, and feel good enough to take on a hike. I recently unexpectedly wore them for five days straight when my trip to AZ to hike in the sun turned cold and rainy, and I only had these pants, which I wore on the plane, and sundresses and hiking shorts. They held up great on the trails, were comfortable from 50-70 degrees, and then when I wore them out to dinner, I just brushed the dust off and they cleaned right up! They didn’t smell, either. I was quite presentable. They’re the perfect airplane pants, too, by the way. All the pockets come in handy, and the joy of wearing leggings that look like pants on the plane can’t be overstated.

I’m 5’5” 125lbs but with a big butt and boobs (proportionally) and usually wear an XS in leggings and underwear, but sometimes I go up to a small. The small in these fits me perfectly. I would buy these in every color of the rainbow. I’m thinking of buying another pair so I have an extra. I never want to say goodbye.

I’m 5’8” usually wear XXL but I ordered XL and they fit great!!
I work hard in home improvement with my husband and these are the best pants or leggings I have ever owned.

Love the pockets!
I love, love, love these leggings! They are great for working around the barn! I especially love the pockets! Perfect for carrying around my phone or some horse treats! The only thing is that they are a little too long... I'm 5feet and ordered a small. I could have gone with an extra small. I really wish that they would come in petite sizes! Comfortable and Durable
These leggings are comfortable and durable. I wear them for field labs in school when I'm hiking outside. They are also quick drying so if it rains you won't feel soaking wet all day long. They also provide a lot of stretch which is great if you do a lot of bending and squating.

Leggings that fit like a Glove!
I have participated in the search for a comfy bottom for decades. From stirrups (80's) to leggings (90's) to yoga pants (00's) and, for a time, my fav stretchy waistband maternity pants (late 00's) fit the bill. The Force Utility Knit Legging takes it to another level! At 32" inseam, they just fit lengthwise but the fit is perfect n every other way. Fingers crossed that they don't shrink! Better yet here is hoping they come in Talls down the line. I could live in these, so different colors would be amazing!

My denim jeans are in the closet feeling jealous and neglected...
I'm a welder in northern Canada. With all the sparks, metal filings, etc in my job I've always had to wear full length pants (usually jogging pants or old denim jeans) under my bibs. It's bulky and way too hot in the summer. Plus I just look like a slob after work when the bibs come off. These leggings are the perfect solution, tough enough to protect me, yet streamlined and cool in the heat of summer. Plus I can do my running around in public after work, looking like a woman! They fit great, although just a tad big. I'm in between a M and L usually and I got the mediums, so they are perfect for me. Unlike lots of leggings out there that highlight every lump and dimple, these seem to to smooth out those areas. I'll likely be purchasing a few more pairs since I wear these almost everyday! A FORCE to be Reckoned With!
My second Carhartt order has just arrived today (March 17,2017) and I am so excited! After seeing the quality of the workmanship in the items in my first order (Feb 2017), I know I will not be disappointed with this order. As a female with a difficult body shape to fit clothes to (a Scoliosis-hips misaligned and a round belly), I was pleasantly surprised to find how well fitting and comfortable these pants are. As a Sewer, I recognize the small but significant details that have been put into the design of these pants - "bar-tacking" at the pocket's points of stress; double-stitching around each pocket; 4 stitched darts on each knee-patch, to allow the knee-bend movement stretch, while maintaining shape; the wide shaped, well-fitting waistband that will accommodate many body flaws. The pictures on the webpage do not do justice to the small, but important, details of the manufacture of this Force Utility Knit Pants. Well Done!

Amazing!

So into these
These leggings might be the ideal pair of pants. I am seriously considering getting another 5 pairs to wear both in and out of the field. They're stretchy, strong, thick fabric that's thick enough to wear unselfconsciously as pants. And I'm not gonna lie, I look awesome in them (definitely not the case with all pants/leggings).

3 notes: the waistband does that thing where it bulges out in the small of my back instead of lying flat/fitted (like cheap jeans often do). Another thing: I wish the waist came up an inch higher. These are low enough that you'd have to wear an extra long shirt if you're going to use them for bending-over tasks. Lastly, the material is kind of hot. Super comfortable at 60 degrees (and would keep you warm in colder temps) but start to get kind of claustrophobic at 70 and above.

All said and done I still love them but look forward to a few adjustments in future versions of these pants.

The greatest pants carhartt has ever made.
I bought these to wear as maternity work pants so I did gethat them a ltitle big but I would recommend ordering on the small side of what you usually wear because theyou do fall down quite a bit if they aren't snug. Other than that they are AMAZING. Very durable, the dirt brushed right off, and being able to move freely is priceless. I wish these came in a SLIM straight leg (no the usual carhartt stovepipe straight leg) and in colors such as chocolate, army green, and navy blue. I probably wouldn't wear any other pants ever if they did.

Needs drawstring
If you have a big butt/thighs, but small waist you will need to retrofit extra elastic in the waistband to keep them from gapping a/o falling down. This is easy to do and does solve the problem, but you'd think for $60...
Also suggest ordering tall, even if you don't think you need to because the double knees on the regular are too high even though the overall length is adequate.
It is worth the trouble, though. There's nothing else like them.

Not small people friendly
I just got mine today, they are cute but they run really large.
I'm scared to go into work tomorrow and have to pull them up non stop. I think they should have some kind of tightening system like belt loops or buttons in the inseam to adjust the size.
I ordered an XS (im 5'2 and about 100 - 105 lbs- dont hate on me small people matter too) I cant go down a size, but, i think I will be able to make them work!

Awesome barn leggings!!
Got these as a gift after I mentioned seeing these Carhartt leggings I would like to try. I'm so happy with them! I have horses and they have been awesome barn pants. The pockets, knee enforcements, and articulation are great. The waistband stays up up mostly but might need a lil more work and the sizing might be a lil on the larger side but it's good to move around in. Will probably buy these in a second color :) thanks Carhartt for making some working leggings!

Best leggings ever.
These are no joke, the best leggings I've ever spent money on (and I literally live in leggings and own like 20 pairs). I'm 5'8" and approx 150 lbs and I bought the medium tails and they fit perfect. Durable enough to wear while in vet school or working on the farm yet still comfortable to lounge around in. Currently on my Christmas list for another pair or 2. Absolutely love all the pockets which are super durable and extremely useful. The leggings were a hit tight when I first bought them and tried them on, but fit perfect after wearing for a day.

Nice pants
To me these are more like skinny work pants than leggings. They're a little big. In WI winters I need to wear another layer underneath but in the summer they definitely won't be too warm. I bought a pair of these because I liked how durable they seemed and loved the pockets. While wearing them around, I noticed how they started digging into my hips. I do have high hips but the leggings would cut right into my hip bone area so I would constantly have to pull them or adjust them. Eventually, I stopped wearing them because they got annoying. I thought about sizing up but the seat area would just get baggy and not look flattering. Just the rise I guess.

The best pants I own
I wear the jeans in a medium and these were initially more snug than the jeans ( I was nervous) but I have broken them in and they are the comfiest and nicest pants that I own. Very comfortable and good looking.
I just bought my first pair of these pants and I love them. They are a tight fit but in a good way. Very sturdy and comfortable. I am older now so do not feel dignified in “leggings” and while I have some leggings I only will wear them with really long shirts/ hoodies. These will be great for barn work and more and I won’t feel like Im letting iit “all hang out.”

Comfortable & flattering - need shorter inseam
I only wish this was offered in a SHORT inseam, otherwise this is the perfect legging for work, outdoors, etc. I am 5'3" (average) and have to roll this up if not paired with boots. This is the most durable legging, and incredibly comfortable, not to mention flattering.

These are awesome, any girls doing barn chores or working outside I would recommend these too, jeans suck compared to these ! Oh my gosh! I gave in and bought the carhart leggings... THEY'RE AMAZING! wore them in the MN 35° weather tonight and didn't notice much of a difference vs sweatpants. They're sooo comfortable, super stretchy, and very true to size. Love the pockets and reinforced knees. Definitely recommend them ??

I cannot say enough good things about this legging.
I was so happy when they came out with this legging in an olive color - AND they added talls! I'm 5'9, 170 athletic figure and usually fit an 8/10 but Carhartt jeans run VERY small - so I'm a bit bigger, typically.

Very often, if you aren't built like a supermodel/stick and have more muscle, it's hard to find skinny jeans or leggings that fit in all the right places. This legging has it all - it fits perfect in the waist, lays nicely on my hips and glutes and can be used for multi-purpose - I have worn these to work (I work in an office setting), for everyday lounging and even a night on the town. I have turned many of my friends on to these pants and they feel the exact same way.

To whomever designed these - you, are an American hero.

My favorite trousers
The leggings are sturdy but flexible, and the pockets are wonderful. I ride my bike in them very comfortably in chilly weather. Hiking is great with these, legs are protected from prickly plants and the fabric has not ripped or stained after a year of heavy use; (part of my weekly wardrobe fall, winter, and spring.) The leggings are made of a thicker material than any regular jogging leggings, and full opaque coverage for sure in any position. I am 5'4'' and about 130 pounds, I wear the Small size and it is not too tight on my muscular legs. The waist is a little larger and looser on me, but it is a comfortable loose, and in winter it is comfortable to wear fleece leggings underneath the utility knit legging if you need the layers.
I would love more sizes available for these leggings, for example something in between Small and XSmall, (Carhartt jeans also need a size 3, the size between a 2 and a 4!!) then the pair would fit me absolutely perfectly without adding leggings underneath. I would want to have both varying sizes at hand depending on what activity and warmth I need. As a teacher, I find these leggings so perfect for carrying things in my pockets and durable for an active class!

I fully and enthusiastically recommend the Force Utility Knit Legging, I sticking to these as my go-to adventure pants!

Love my Utility Leggins
They are a great durable pant that stretch with every move, keep their shape wash after wash. The only thing I would change is put a draw string or some kind of waist gathering) they tend to be loser at the waist.

My first pair of leggings
So I am not a big legging fan, but I bought these and they even made them in a bigger size. They fit almost perfect, a little long but who cares. I wear them under my snowmobile bibs since they are stretchy. Love them, can't wait to see them in different colors. Belt loops would be good too.

Love these!
My favorite pair of work pants to date! Would buy them again! I just wish they had belt loops but other than that they are amazing! Super durable and comfortable and the deep pockets are great! They are a little big, I have wider hips and I would usually go for a medium but small fit me perfectly with some wiggle room too. Wish they were even a little smaller at the waistband area but they are still a great pair of leggings! Carhartt please continue to make these !

So comfortable, they have 4 REAL pockets that I can fit my whole hand in that's crazy!

Ripped after 3 wears
I was very excited when I got these, super comfortable, stretchy, and nice and loose on the baby belly. After just 3 wears (and only 1 week old!) They have split down the butt seam and up into the crotch. These are not skin tight on me and are loose in many areas since they were bought to help accommodate my growing belly. Apparently they aren't made to fit a woman who bends or squats to pick things up and move them. Was hoping they would be a lot better, now I have ripped pants that cost me $110 CAD.

These are excellent, tough legging style pants!
Don't let "knit legging" fool you! These are super tough! I've already used them in the field and to climb trees. You can even stretch in them really easily, and there are POCKETS. For me, these are a dream come true. I've already told my friends who work in any conditions to check them out. They look nice, fit great, move with you, and are tough. They're true to size, and comfortable. I'm about to purchase more. This is all I want in my closet! I'm sure you'll be happy with the purchase.

The fit is big between the hips and waistband
I measured myself and got a medium (I'm 5ft 4in, 130lbs, athletic build so I have a round butt). So, the butt and legs fit great, but the waistband and the material between the hips and waistband is big and sorta baggy. It looks bad, like a lump of material just below the waistband, but also makes me think they'll just slip down as I'm doing construction and field work. I might trade them in for a small with the hope that the legs won't be too tight.

-Thank you for making these in all sizes. I am a strongman competitor and have thick thighs and a big butt - it's nice to have good quality pants that fit well

-Comfy, stretchy, move with you pants WITH POCKETS!!! And these aren't the shallow sad excuses for pockets like in most womens pants - these are deep and plentiful

Leggings for work, play, and everyday!
I can't usually wear leggings to work, but I wear these everywhere! Good through the brush, easy to bend and kneel in, and even more comfortable relaxing on the couch. Lots of pockets and the reinforced knees move with you. Thick enough to hide lines. Love these pants!

One tough legging

Amazing work leggings
Absolutely fantastic I would give 5 stars only bumped one off for sizing I’m in between sizes so my current pair fit in the waist but are baggy through the knees and crotch when worn, but man they are comfortable and stay up all day, I would highly recommend but suggest trying on in person if possible first I also sized down from my normal legging size

Great Pants for Every Occasion
My daughter and I bought these pants to wear during calving season under our winter gear. Turns out they are great for more then just comfort under our winter gear. They look great with a sweater dress or just a plain t-shirt. I even wore then to do yoga in. These are not a light weight legging. The are comfort and substance.

Very pleased
I am extremely happy with these leggings. I bought them to fit smoothly under coveralls that I wear in a maintenance bay. They breathe well in warm weather and are comfortable when it’s cool. The reinforced knees are amazing as I was constranly ripping through jeans in this area. As a couple other reviews have mentioned, mine are a tiny bit too loose in the hips/waist area. I am extremely petite (5’3”, 102 lbs) and even the XS is a little loose to start and it does loosen up during the day. The good news is, the higher waist protects against any unfortunate views when they loosen up. Overall I’m extremely happy with them. Have had for a few months now, think they’ll hold up well and will absolutely buy another pair when the need arises

Great versatile pants
I don't wear any sort of skinny pants, at all, ever. I got these as a gift and I had no idea what I was going to do with them. I tried them out and I've found I can wear them for so many different things! Barn chores, work, dressed up for parties, dressed down for farm work, doesn't matter, they always look great and are highly functional with all the pockets! I was in a pinch this weekend and pulled out these pants for a Christmas party. They were comfortable all night, and I was so happy with them.

Runs large
I find that these run quite large as they stretch out considerably after one wear. I purchased a large but would have been more comfortable in a medium, and I'm usually a size 16 in Carhartt pants. Also, these need to come in longer lengths because the regular length is quite short and shrinks up a bit.

Strange Material and Fit - Very Unflattering
Was very surprised at the material -- it has a strange sheen to it and nylony quality. As a pant that is supposed to be form fitting -- it was large at the waist (I ordered an extra small) and in several other places down the leg, but it also looked extremely revealing (left me feeling naked) -- not at all like regular leggings which I think of as supportive. These have the look of English riding pants - if that's what you're going for great, but if you want a sturdy legging you can farm or garden in these might not be for you. Wish they were something different!

The perfect thick warm leggings for the colder weather
I was in search for a comfy pair of pants that I can wear during the winter that were not jeans. I tend to run cold and these utility knit leggings are the perfect find! They are thick, warm, comfortable and super durable, I can wear them outside in the winter and feel warm and protected. I highly recommend if you like to spend time outside in the cold!

Totally in love with these pants!!!
Awesome pants, bought 2 pair and definitely buying more. I recommend going somewhere you can try them on, because they do run big. Normally I would have ordered a 2xl because name brands tend to run small. I ended up purchasing an xl but my next ones will be a large. I've had them for about 2months now, cold water wash separately and hang to dry and they still look brand new

Best leggings ever!!
I work with the dogs at our local humane society and purchased a pair of these leggings for work. They are great! I like to wear leggings vs regular pants when I’m at work because having a hem hanging down isn’t always the greatest thing when you spend your day cleaning dog kennels. These didn’t ride down or up on me at all yesterday and it was a crazy 11 hour day. I squat, bend, twist and turn all day and they where perfectly comfortable. Other leggings end up with holes from the dogs jumping on me but they aren’t joking with the utility knit title. I just purchased 2 more pairs and am going to encourage my coworkers to purchase as well. I also got compliments from the girls on how nice my derrière looked in them.

Excellent fitted work pant for women
I work in the trades as a house painter and finding work pants for women that incorporate flexibility and durability is a challenge. I bought these pants and am so happy with the results. They have held up through many washes and hard work. I recommend them whole heartedly!! My only wish is for them to come in a painters white with a handy hammer loop attached.

Force to be Reckoned With

Fit to a “T”. I used the sizing tool to find the right size. Sturdy but not heavy. Looking forward to the stretch when pruning bushes and picking up clippings. And hurray for pockets! More colors, please - these are a country girl alternative to flimsy leggings that end op sagging.

I am an electronics maintenance tech, I crawl, climb, bend stretch & put myself in various compromising positions. These pants are the best. As stated by others, they don't stay up on their own. I went the suspender route, it took a little getting used to, but is 100% worth it so I am not fighting & pulling up my pants every 10 minutes. It just gives me an good reason to accessorize, yay fun suspenders.

Fits Large, still cute though.
My order came in a timely matter, and I am impressed with the material and the style. There was only one downside, which was that the legging runs a little large. They look more like cargo pants on me then they do leggings. I have decided to keep the larger pair to use as a work/outdoor play legging, but make sure to down size my next order for a more casual look. (yes, i am going to purchase another pair in the near future)

Best work pants I could’ve asked for!
I desperately needed a pair of pants that I could easily bend and work in for my 10.5 hour shifts. My regular leggings were falling apart after a couple of days, and jeans weren’t comfortable enough. I was so lucky to have seen a random ad for this website where I saw these leggings! They’re by far a great investment and I couldn’t be happier with how they feel and perform at work! The band at the top does fold a bit at times when I’m bending a lot and sweating, but it’s nothing compared to the real issues I’ve had with other pants at work. They look great on me, and I really appreciate the double panel at the knees. I’ve gotten barely any bruises or scrapes there since I’ve been wearing them. The extra pockets are also really useful. These are a great choice for warehouse work!

I love these pants. The only issue is that the waist gets loose after a couple hours and oy have to pull them up constantly. I am 5'7" and 185 so I was worried about what length and size to get. I tend to fall between a regular and short in pant length, and tend to wear a size 10-12. I ordered a large and they fit perfectly.

Great!
I love these leggings. Overall they fit well and are more substantial than "regular" leggings, which means I can wear them in colder weather and not feel exposed! The only minor complaint that I have is the extra knee fabric makes the legging quite tight at that area. Not a huge deal but they cause a bit of slipping down the longer I wear them and I find I need to pull them up through the day. Adding belt loops would allow for a belt to combat this issue.

Just what I needed!
Initially ordered two pair - one fit like harem pants and were constantly falling down. I tried on the other pair and they fit PERFECTLY. Just what I needed. So I called Carhartt and they accepted the return, no problem. Now these are the pants I wear every day for work cleaning houses. The reinforced knees are strong and they pants overall are flexible enough for me to move however I need to.

Sexy & Functional
The size runs in such a way that there is a comfortable bit of room...most leggings or stretch jeans will suffocate your legs into sausages, these are just right! The pockets are amazing, deep and well set so that my huge phone fits in my pocket without falling out. There is even a small side pocket good for pocket knives with a hidden flap inside to keep items from falling out. The pants had the craftsmanship I would expect from Carhartt, and these have quickly become my favorite legwear. Give us some more colors Carhartt! And thank you for innovating a product that is sturdy yet attractive and meets the versatility of today's women. Very happy with my purchase.

Comfortable AND attractive work pants, finally
I bought the Slim Double Front Dungaree first, then these pants. I love both. These are more comfortable, more attractive than the Slim Double Fronts, like industrial stretch pants but cool, if that makes sense. Haven't washed them yet but hope they don't get all wonky. These are my go-to pants now. They do NOT fit over boots, however. Keep that in mind.

Disappointed
I was very excited to try these out. Unfortunately, after about six months of wear, I am ready to chuck these. I am a size 6 in Carhartt pants, so I ordered a small. The legs fit fine (despite being short, but not a big deal on leggings) but the waist seems like a size larger. Belt loops or something would have helped this but they fall down all the time. I really liked the pockets, wicking fabric, flexibility, and water resistance. However if you work around heat, chemicals, or mildly sharp objects, prepare to have them immediately wrecked. Hoping this feedback will inspire a better version in the future.

I don't however love the fact that they slide down..I can't keep them up for the life of me..they definitely need belt loops (even though I know this isn't standard for leggings). Also, they seem to run a little large; I did consult the sizing chart before ordering, but maybe could have ordered a size smaller. Would give these a 5 rating if I could keep them up without having to hike my pants up about every 10 minutes or so. I would likely buy them again, but would try a size smaller for sure...

Love Them!
I love the fit and comfort of these pants. I have worn them working around the barn and just casually. They have deep pockets that work great for carrying my phone and different tools that I need. They still look brand new even after multiple washes.
The only thing was I am 5'3 and they were a tad long on me but overall the fit was great!

These are the ichiest leggings I have ever owned. Biggest disappointment from carhartt yet. Need to return them. I couldn't even keep them on for 10 min they were so bad! ???

Not a perfect fit
I wear an 8 in Carhartt women's pants, and the medium in these tights is a little too big in the waist. I find myself hiking them up constantly. The fit is nice everywhere else. Would be nice if they were offered in numbered sizes. I really like the durable fabric.
